One of the more unique features of the Pacific Northwest, are the BNSF garbage trains. The Puget Sound's trash needs to be disposed of somewhere, and moving it by train is their choice for most efficient transport. BNSF operates two different garbage trains, originating in two different locations - the Everett, WA to Roosevelt, WA (EVEROO), and the Interbay Seattle, WA to Roosevelt, WA (INBROO). The garbage dump in Roosevelt, located along the Columbia River in Southern Washington, is the ultimate destination for the trash. Power can vary between the two trains, but the EVEROO is the best bet for catching some unique power. The Northbound return runs are empty, while the Southbound runs of the garbage trains are loaded. Needless to say, the smell isn't the best when these trains go by!
Included are various shots from around the Seattle and Puget Sound area, of both the Interbay and Everett southbound runs of the garbage trains, mostly from the Summer of 2020. Locations all included in video.
