Once there were countless of steamships sailing around Puget Sound, WA. They were called "the Mosquito Fleet" because of how they swarmed the docks. Today, the Virginia V is the last survivor of these steamers (a diesel powered ship also survives, the Carlisle II). She frequently makes sailings on Lake Union in Seattle, WA. In August 2024, I boarded two of these sailings and recorded the trip.
