These are different types of tuning forks.
A tuning fork is a U-shaped metal device that produces a sound of a certain frequency when struck.
A sound is produced when a material (normally solid) is struck and vibrates the medium in which it is immersed (normally air).
That vibration reaches our ears.
The tuning fork sound has a main or fundamental frequency and several secondary or harmonic frequencies.
This tuning fork vibrates by pinching.
And it is only heard when it is brought to the ear or the microphone.
This other one sounds since it is hit.
And it sounds more when we get closer to it.
This does not sound when hitting but it does sound when approaching.
On it is written 440, which indicates the frequency in megahertz of the fundamental wave that it produces.
This is a soundboard for a tuning fork.
This system consists of an iron support from which a polystyrene ball hangs in contact with a tuning fork.
Let's check that the vibrations are transmitted through the solid and gaseous media and will make the little ball move.
The little ball moves because the tuning fork vibrates.
The vibration is transmitted through the air or through direct contact between the resonance boxes.
