In June 2007 I travelled with Yongdzin Rinpoche to Tibet for a fortnight. One day when he was busy, I decided to walk randomly from morning to evening in Lhasa and put my camera down to take simple 10 second still shots. Snapshots of ordinary life that add up to a real insight into the atmosphere of the city at that time.
You can see how the traditional Tibetan Lhasa is being swallowed up by the Chinese Lhasa and this must have become more pronounced since then.
I didn't add any commentary or music, just the sound of the shot and I edited it in cut in the chronological order of the shots.

En juin 2007 j'ai accompagné Yongdzin Rinpoché au Tibet Pendant deux semaines. Un jour ou il était occupé, j'ai décidé à marcher au hasard du matin jusqu'au soir dans Lhassa en posant ma caméra pour faire de simples plans fixes de 10 secondes. Des instantanés de vie ordinaire qui additionnés donne vraiment un aperçu de l'ambiance de la ville à cette époque.
On se rend compte comment le Lhassa traditionel tibetain est avalé par le Lhassa chinois et cela a du s'accentué depuis.
Je n'ai pas ajouté de commentaire ni de musique juste le son du plan et je l'ai monté en cut dans l'ordre chronologique des plans.
