India’s patience has limits — and this time, the message is loud and clear: India is not the world’s orphanage.
After the UN’s recent remarks urging India to open its borders for more asylum seekers, the Indian Supreme Court gave a firm response, reminding the world that national security comes before global sympathy.

In the past three years alone, India has already sheltered over 4 lakh refugees — including Rohingyas, Tibetans, Afghans, and Sri Lankan Tamils.
Yet the UN wanted more, even as India continues sending tons of humanitarian aid abroad. In September 2025, India sent 21 tonnes of relief material to Afghanistan — tents, food, medical kits, and clean water units for earthquake victims.
India also provided 15 tonnes of food to Kunar province and 1,000 tents for families in Kabul, proving that it stands for humanity, not exploitation.

But the Supreme Court’s tone was firm — “Charity begins at home.”
India will help the world, but not at the cost of its own citizens’ safety. With border pressures rising and internal security challenges growing, India has drawn a red line — help from a distance, not at the cost of national interest.

This isn’t isolation. It’s strategic compassion — the Indian way.
