Day 2 – Swan One Design Worlds | Light Breeze, Sharp Moves

Day 2 of racing at the Swan One Design Worlds in Porto Cervo brought light breeze but big tactical challenges. The Race Committee made the call to shift racing closer to the island of Caprera, where conditions allowed for two fair races across all classes.

In the ClubSwan 50s, EARLYBIRD kept their momentum, using clean starts and smart tactics to stay ahead. In the 36s, Brazil’s MAMAO held firm at the top with another standout performance. NADIR took command of the 42s after a powerful second race win, while in the 28s, SWING climbed into the lead with a 1st and 2nd—guided by Olympic gold medallist Will Ryan calling the shots.

From tight mark roundings to shifty breeze on both racecourses, it was a day where cool heads and strong teamwork made the difference. With a discard now in play and a fresh Mistral breeze expected tomorrow, the fight for the title is only just heating up.
