On a beautiful, warm Sunday, a visit to the Plaza de España is a must. Built in 1928 for the Ibero-American Exposition of 1929, this semi-circular plaza is a breathtaking blend of Renaissance Revival and Moorish Revival architectural styles.

At the heart of the plaza, you’ll find a charming fountain, where visitors can rent boats for a peaceful ride along the surrounding canal. The plaza is always alive with energy, from locals taking leisurely strolls to tourists eager to capture the stunning scenery.

The central building gracefully curves around the plaza, connected by a series of bridges that cross over a tranquil moat. The intricate ceramic tilework, featuring historical scenes and maps of Spanish provinces, brings vibrant splashes of color to the structure. Each section is adorned with a bench and a ceramic mural, highlighting the unique culture and heritage of Spain’s regions.

After soaking in the beauty of Plaza de España, we head to the Zoco Market, a captivating maze of stalls and shops brimming with an array of treasures.
