Determining If This Fresh Air Intake Is Abandoned

When it comes to bringing outside, fresh air into a property, it’s always best to look for existing ducting that is located in optimal areas. In this case, I was lucky enough to stumble upon a 4 inch abandoned duct located within this attic. And while this 4 inch duct may or may not be used for bringing in fresh air to the new ventilating dehumidifier, this duct will need to be capped off at the very least.
Within this video, I utilize a very unorthodox manner for determining whether or not this 4 inch duct still maintained a connection to the outdoors. As you’ll see within the video, this duct is still very much intact, as well as makes for a great amplifier for any soundtrack. 😎
