Quick demo of a Chinese-made Procon Rat distortion/fuzz pedal with a LM308 chip installed. It's a pretty lousy pedal to begin with, but the new chip does offer a more tone sweep to tame the high end shrill and abrasive tones. When it's on my pedal board (which is rare), I use it only for lead tones -- and it works well enough for that.
I'm playing a 1996 Gibson Les Paul Special with P-100s through a 1976 Musicman HD-130 210 on the 65-watt setting.
