The Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 proves its off-road chops on various surfaces, including gravel and mud, on logging roads near Powell River, BC. Even with stock tires, the Himalayan 450 handled all road surfaces well.
I created this route using OnX Off-Road. The video shows both the OnX map (on my phone) and my Garmin GPS (mounted on the bike). OnX is much more accurate for off-road riding and has more map detail than the Garmin.
I rode the Haslam Lake Mainline up to Giavanna Lake Mainline, then to Spring Lake Road and out on Goat Lake Mainline. Spring Lake Road and Goat Lake Mainline were muddy and slippery due to logging activity, so I was pressed for time as I rushed to catch a ferry back to the lower Sunshine Coast.
