For at least the last decade, there’s been a major buzz about edtech disrupting education. Online content, adaptive learning software, and new approaches to assessment have been heralded as the keys to transforming the education system. Yet despite all the hype, education doesn’t seem to have changed as much as tech enthusiasts claimed it would. In this talk, Thomas Arnett, a leading researcher on disruptive innovation, discusses how disruptive innovation is actually playing out in education, and what this means for the future of learning.
