Three Sisters, Three Rings: A Sentimental Jewellery Remake

This week, I’m crafting three yellow gold rings using inherited, sentimental gold — my favourite kind of project. Each ring holds a story, and there’s a bit of platinum in the mix too; the claws holding the diamonds are platinum for strength and contrast.
The diamonds are beautiful old mine-cut stones, full of character. These rings were made for three sisters: two of the rings feature three stones each, while the third showcases two slightly larger stones. Although two of the rings share a similar style, the curves flow in opposite directions, giving each its own identity.
I absolutely loved making these. Flow was key — not just in the design but in the process of bringing them to life. There’s something deeply satisfying about that.
