Taichung Train Station located at No. 1, Section 1, Taiwan Boulevard, Central District, Taichung Taiwan. Taichung Train Station is one of the popular tourist attractions and Taichung Landmarks. Taichung Train Station is the co-existence station of the new and old stations located at the old town area of Taichung City.
The old station was originally constructed in 1905 in a wooden building and started its operation in 1908. In 1917, it was rebuilt as a red brick structure. It is registered as a national monument in 1995. Guests can visit the small museum to observe the history for free. The old station is very popular for photo taking.
The current and elevated station since 2016 is the major train station at central Taiwan. There is a large food court at street level. Many Metro Buses also has stop at Taichung Train Station.
There are several Tourist attractions within walking distance to Taichung Train Station: LaLaport, TAROKO MALL, Miyahara, Taichung Second Market, and National Taiwan Museum of Comics.
