In a quiet little village surrounded by tall trees, lived a kind-hearted sparrow. She had built a snug little nest on a neem tree, where she spent her days chirping peacefully and enjoying the calm of nature.

One year, unexpected rains came early. Thunder roared, the skies poured, and winds howled through the trees. One day, in the middle of a storm, a soaked and shivering crow arrived at the sparrow’s tree.

“Dear Sparrow,” said the crow, “the storm has destroyed my nest. I have nowhere to stay. May I please share your shelter for a few days?”

The sparrow, touched by his situation, opened her home without hesitation. “You may stay until the weather gets better,” she said kindly.

Days passed. The storm ended. Sunshine returned. But the crow didn’t leave.

Instead, he started behaving as if the nest belonged to him. He spread his wings wide, occupied most of the space, cawed loudly all day, and even pushed the sparrow to the edge of her own nest.

One day, he rudely said, “This branch suits me better. Why don’t you go build another nest somewhere else?”

The sparrow was shocked. She had welcomed the crow out of kindness. But now, he was taking advantage of it.

She paused. And then, with quiet strength, she stood up to him.

“This is my home. I let you in when you needed help, not so you could claim what’s mine. You may be bigger, but I am not afraid.”

With courage in her heart, the little sparrow pushed back. She pecked and flapped her wings until the crow, startled by her bravery, had no choice but to leave.

The sparrow may have been small, but she reminded the world that kindness should never be mistaken for weakness.

From that day on, she lived peacefully again—wiser, braver, and proud.

🌟 Moral of the Story:
It is always good to be kind, but one must also learn to set boundaries. Kindness without self-respect can lead to being taken for granted. Be kind, but be strong. Help others, but never let them misuse your goodness.
