In this video, I demonstrate how to build a Smart Dustbin using Arduino UNO, ultrasonic sensor, and servo motor.
This dustbin opens automatically when a hand comes close, making it a touchless and hygienic solution. The project is built using simple cardboard materials and basic electronics components, making it perfect for beginners and DIY enthusiasts.
🔧 Components Used:
• Arduino UNO
• Ultrasonic Sensor (HC-SR04)
• Servo Motor (SG90)
• Cardboard Sheets
• Jumper Wires
• Breadboard
• Glue Gun
⚙️ Working Principle:
The ultrasonic sensor detects the distance of the hand. When the distance is below a set value, the Arduino activates the servo motor to open the dustbin lid. After a short delay, the lid closes automatically.
This project is ideal for school projects, engineering mini projects, and Arduino beginners.
