How to Make Raised KILN COOKIES aka DRIP CATCHERS the EASY WAY HD 1080p

Welcome to my HOME POTTERY STUDIO! So many of you have asked me how I make these drip catchers / raised kiln cookies or even where to buy them... so...today, I'll show you how YOU can easily create the raised stoneware cookies you see me use during every GLAZE KILN OPENING...These non-edible cookies, not only safeguard your kiln shelf but also protect your precious pottery during the glaze firing process. If you're a fan of beautiful, DRIPPY GLAZE like I am, you'll find these RAISED COOKIES to be an absolute CERAMIC STUDIO ESSENTIAL!

I first discovered these amazing raised cookies, also known as 'drip catchers,' on @Old ForgeCreations YouTube channel a few years ago. Since then, I've been making, using, smashing, and remaking these cookies in my one pottery studio.

In this video, I'll guide you through the entire process, showing you step-by-step how to throw them on the pottery wheel AND how you can even craft them from a slab of clay in case you don’t have access to a pottery wheel, or prefer to hand build your ceramics.
