As a Hunter main, I couldn’t be happier after reading the upcoming patch notes — a 40% DAMAGE BUFF to the Still Hunt + Celestial Golden Gun combo is absolutely wild. With the recent Solar Hunter and On Your Mark buffs, survivability is no longer a problem either, and the +50 Weapon Stat makes Solar Hunter the only subclass in the entire game that can hit 200 Super, 200 Weapon, and run 3× Weapon Surge mods at the same time.
With all of these changes combined, the damage numbers are going to be even higher than the pre-nerfed original Final Shape version of this combo. Hunter is looking like it might become the best DPS class in the game again, and I’m genuinely excited to unleash this on bosses when Renegades drops.
This is 100% going to be my Day 1 Contest Hunter build for the Renegades dungeon Equilibrium. I cannot wait.
