Trowbridge is the county town of Wiltshire. Trowbridge is often voted amongst the worst towns to live in the UK, the Worst places in the UK and has a crime rate double the regional average with certain crimes soaring in the Town and parts of Trowbridge falling among the most deprived areas in the UK... But does Trowbridge really deserve the reputation its gained in the National media?

I went to Trowbridge to investigate shocking headlines such as "Feral youths are running amok in Trowbridge as antisocial behaviour soars" and "Street wardens required to tackle crime as residents are scared to go out"... In my short time in Trowbridge I was caught up in a real time police raid on a property, witnessed numerous homeless camps in the town park, and obvious signs of substance abuse. I heard from the locals first hand their opinions on the town in street interviews. Trowbridge and the neighbouring town of Swindon have been rocked by a rise in anti social behaviour and gang associated violence of recent years but just how much truth is there behind the headlines?
