The MG 4 EV, like most modern electric vehicles, has a remote preheating function, activated by the app, which switches on the car's HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning) to demist or de-ice the car before you set off.
NOTE As of mid January 2023, there is a bug in the software - the car will only respond to this function if:
a) it is disconnected from the charger, or
b) it is currently connected and charging.
If it is connected, but the charge is complete, remote preheating does NOT commence.
