• Finished bench made from solid cherry
In this video, I show how I used a Festool TS55 tracksaw to mate a base to a badly twisted solid cherry wood bench seat. Rather than jointing the whole piece as is normal, after levelling the base with a tracksaw, I cut a level rebate along the benchtop perimeter to allow the top to mate perfectly with the base.
A woodpecker's story stick made marking out the cuts very simple.
