The Quest 2's default capture settings are ok for the most part but for content creators and people who simply want the best quality game play capture possible the default settings leave a bit to be desired. Once you've registered your Oculus (aka Meta) account as a developer there is a way to increase the capture resolution, bitrate and frame rate using ADB (Android Debug Bridge) Commands as well as other tools in applications like SideQuest. In this video I show how to register your account as a developer, where to download the Oculus ADB drivers and SideQuest and then finally how to use both ADB Commands and SideQuests Device Settings and Tools menu to increase the quality of your Quest 2 gameplay capture.

Copy and paste the following ADB commands into the ADB command line in SideQuest and run them one at a time to increase the capture quality of your Quest 2 gameplay recordings.
horizontal resolution - adb shell setprop debug.oculus.capture.width 1440
vertical resolution - adb shell setprop debug.oculus.capture.height 1080
capture bitrate - adb shell setprop debug.oculus.capture.bitrate 30000000
full capture frame rate - adb shell setprop debug.oculus.fullRateCapture 1
