EP3: Where Life Glows in Everyday Flames — Danzhou
For our third chapter, we travel with Dongpo Cultural Experience Ambassador, actor Wu Hankun, Green BAZAAR’s culinary culture advisor Wang Yunhao, Li Lisheng (Executive Chinese Chef of MGM RESERVE Zhuhai), Liang Zhikun (Executive Chinese Chef of MGM Shenzhen), and writer Jin Zhewei, to Danzhou — a place where everyday life carries its own quiet glow.
Danzhou was the final place of Dongpo’s exile, harsh in living conditions yet abundant in human warmth. Here, he found not despair but belonging, calling himself “A man of Danzhou by nature, living only as a guest in Sichuan.” During these years, he taught, farmed, shared knowledge, and became a cultivator of culture itself — sowing seeds that would take root long after he was gone.
