I've been asked quite a few times how many tracks can you record at once with the Tascam us16x08 and it's a good point. Just because an audio interface has 16 inputs doesn't automatically mean you can record all of them at the same time. Indeed, that was always an issue with budget digital mixer recorders in the past.
Could the Tascam us16x08 handle 16 tracks of audio all at once? And how good would the recorded sounds be?
I thought I would put it to the test and try and record a drum kit, a microphone and 4 synths (with stereo outputs) - 16 tracks in all.
