Why We Moved to Chanthaburi

Step back in time and explore the enchanting Chanthaboon Waterfront Community (ชุมชนริมน้ำจันทบูร), an ancient riverside gem in Chanthaburi, Thailand! 🌊 This historic community, dating back over 300 years to the Ayutthaya Kingdom, is a rich blend of Thai, Chinese, and Vietnamese heritage.

Wander along the 1 km pedestrian street lined with stunning Sino-Portuguese and Gingerbread-style architecture, cozy cafés, traditional shophouses, and vibrant street art. Visit historic landmarks like the UNESCO-awarded Baan Luang Rachamaitri, and meet the amazing people and vendors, offering a glimpse into the past and present in this lovely district.

We will cross the iconic Niramon Bridge, which connects this community to the majestic Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Thailand's most beautiful Catholic church.

We will have amazing food all along the way too. Including pork Noodle Soup, Rocket Ice Cream, Vietnamese Lemonade, BBQ Eggs, and an interesting Thai Dessert.
