Two great shortwave music history programs - aired back-to-back on Saturday nights on 5950kHz:
“Alt Universe Top 40” (10pm EST) imagines the songs that should’ve been higher up in the Top 40 Countdown of a particular year than they ever really were - and then introduces each song on the imaginary list as if it really earned that spot - with all of the researched history and charismatic radio hype.
The next program is “Cruisin’ The Decades; 100 Years of Music,” (11pm EST) which plays one song from every decade since 1900 for the duration of the show.
