This routine, inspired by the era and styling of the Golden Era legend, Taheyya Karioka (Carioca), debuted at "The Oriental Trail 2.0", followed by the "Vintage Lounge", curated by Bangalore-based bellydance artiste/instructor, Shruti Narayanan.
Based on Shruti's personal interests and research work, the "Vintage Lounge", traced the chronological sequence of events from the early 20's to the 80's, while highlighting the contributions and timeless elegance of Bellydance icons from the Golden and Transition eras of Egyptian cinema.
The dancers in this performance are as follows - Sindhu, Satavisa, Anjum, Anusha, Prathigna and Chaitra. Vintage Lounge premiered at the Alliance Francaise de Bangalore auditorium, on July 19, 2019.
