OVN (Open Virtual Network) is a free and open source Software Defined Networking solution based on Open vSwitch and the primary choice to provide virtual networking in OpenStack.
In this talk we will take a look at the OVN architecture and how OVN and OpenStack integrate, with a special focus on Yaook. We will learn how the high level entities, such as routers in OpenStack, are mapped to down to the lower layers and how network packets find their way to instances and back.
If you have ever wondered what a logical flow is or what the difference between underlay and overlay network is, this talk is right for you.
