Hey guys!

This one was a bit of a surprise, but we decided to release this song as it's no longer gonna be "canon" to the Billie Jean universe.

The song got scrapped due to a lot of circumstances regarding both the lore and how the song is structured, and will instead be separated into a 3-song EP which will tell this story in different perspectives. The songs will be fully VOCALOID and no longer FNF.

Some more context about this song is that while I did not want to talk much about this, it was originally made for an ex-friend's OC, and used to be called Hollow & Sorrow. Because of some very serious things that they did, michi and I decided to repurpose the composition to CONTAGIOUS and we started to mold the song into a Billie & Jean song.

Unfortunately, the song structure falls off at times, making it very hard to work with at certain points and it actually runs very VERY badly in my PC, which also means that unfortunately there won't be an FLP release for it, as it is way too heavy and probably won't run well in anyone's PC.

Because of all that + the story not being super clear just by this song, we decided to abandon CONTAGIOUS and move onto other ways to tell Billie and Jean's story. One day I might do a remake, but now is not the time.

About the upcoming EP, michi and I are still pondering how to go about it as it is a very early concept, but I hope to bring it out sometime next year, hopefully early 2026!
