Homesteading Isn’t Easy… But THIS Made It Worth It!

Homestead Vlog: From the pear tree to the chicken coop to the garden, I never know if I’ll find a YAY or a WHOOPS waiting for me. That’s homesteading—sometimes overwhelming, often unpredictable—but the YAYs always outweigh the WHOOPSes in the end. 🌱🐓🍐🍅

We got back from our camping trip to find the pear tree…bare. 😅 A big WHOOPS on my part for waiting too long to pick them. I tried to shake it off with a visit to the chicken coop, hoping for some better news—and YAY, the girls came through! 🥚 Then came another WHOOPS: I thought I’d let the chickens carve their own jack-o-lantern (like I’d seen online)…but the pumpkin was rock solid, and they wanted no part of it. Finally, I turned to the garden to redeem the day and got another YAY!—our very first ripe tomato of the season was waiting for me. 🍅 And it. was. MASSIVE!

Homesteading can be overwhelming at times—especially when you’re just learning the ropes—but the YAYs outweigh the WHOOPSes, and that’s what fuels me.
