While mechanical EPRs do a really good job of indirectly controlling product temperature, Electric Evaporator Pressure Regulators or EEPRs step the process up a notch or two. If Supermarkets want to directly control case and product temperature, easily change settings for dual temperature applications, monitor and make valve adjustments remotely, recover more quickly from defrost cycles, efficiently handle varying loads and load conditions, and readily accommodate refrigerant retrofits, they are going to need EEPRs in their refrigeration systems.
