Archive footage of the parade in Leicester to mark the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II, Tuesday 2nd June 1953.

00:37 "The assembly area prior to start" We see dignitaries and members of the Quorn hunt gathering in Victoria Park, an army regiment marching along University Road, and crowds gathering in the rain."

23:47 "Industrial Group" We then see several lorries being used as promotional devices in the parade: they include firms of plumbers, builders, agricultural producers with tractors, electricity and gas organisations, Cascelloid and the co-operative society.
