This real-life Action Comics #1 story is stranger than fiction. Nicolas Cage purchases a spectacular copy of the first appearance of Superman, a collectible that breaks the world record for the highest price ever paid for a comic book. A few years later, DISASTER, the book is stolen. The LA PD (Don Hrycyk), a comic book expert with a photographic memory (Stephen Fishler), and reality-tv celebrities (e.g., Mark Balelo) all factor into this caper. If I didn't know better, I would guess this was a Nicolas Cage movie.
