This method of painting where I transfer my emotions directly on a canvas doesn't even seem real! But I totally invite you to try this the next time you're feeling a big emotion, to see how that works for you. For me, it totally feels like some sort of cheat code for managing my mental health.
I think there have definitely been times where I've done this sort of intuitively, but not with any real intention or awareness. It really sheds a light on why certain types of art for me have felt kind of empty and forgettable.
This method of creating emotionally honest art has me really excited to push both this style of abstraction, and overall process. This definitely feels like a milestone in my journey as a painter, artist and person.
