5th Grade Language Arts Update
The number of questions that I have received lately warranted a dedicated video on our 5th-grade language arts.
I might go easy on this topic in our upcoming 3rd quarter update.
Many of you know that I have purposefully avoided a strong focus on writing in our homeschool. We have been working to understand grammar and love the written word. Compared to so many others, this could very well be a catastrophe and put my girl behind the masses.
I feel pretty confident that it won't. Allowing my daughter to focus on the story has inspired her to develop a love for writing.
We have been using the MCT program from ‪@RoyalFireworksPress‬ in partnership with ‪@NightZookeeper‬. (offer below)
I love the instruction from MCT and the fun and gentle guidance that NZK provides.
I feel like these 2 programs work so well hand in hand.
Neither is heavy, and neither bogs down her simple joy of sharing a story.
You could easily go down the rabbit hole and drown in writing lessons from both pieces.
You could easily use either piece alone as a complete curriculum.
Both pieces make it easy to pick and choose a few manageable lessons to find great success.
