100th Percentile MCAT Study Plan | How I scored a 527

hi friends! I’ve gotten several questions about my MCAT study plan so I hope this video helps to clarify. take only what’s helpful :D also this vid is a lot of talking so feel free to watch at 1.5x or 2x speed if you prefer.

Some additional notes:
1) I applied to medical school this past cycle and will be matriculating in Fall 2022, meaning that I’m going “straight through.” If you go straight through, you usually take the MCAT in the winter/spring of your junior year so you can get your score back before you apply in the summer between junior/senior year.

2) I divided my study plan into two sections (rather than three) because I combined the “third-party exams” and “official exams” into one “hard prep” section. People might like to take all third-party exams before the official AAMC exams because the AAMC exams are the most representative (saving the “best” for last). I approached this a lil differently: I used the AAMC exams as checkpoints throughout the summer to make sure I was on track, so I spread them out intermittently between my third-party practices.

3) I self-studied Orgo, Biochem, and Psych for the MCAT, but most people take these courses beforehand (this may have made my life much easier lol). Do whatever fits with your timeline and study methods!
