This talk describes the development, evaluation, and next steps for painTRAINER®, an online, self-completed pain coping skills training program. PainTRAINER is informed by a cognitive behavioral therapy approach – the gold standard non-pharmacologic, behavioral treatment for chronic pain – and is currently freely available to the public. Its efficacy and effectiveness are supported by NIH-funded trials. Discussion will include consideration of the benefits and challenges of delivering this training online.
