TCR Italy 2023 - 1° Round at Imola Circuit, ACI Racing Weekend - NEW Honda Civic, Elantra, RS3, etc

The 1st Round 2023 of the Italian TCR Touring Car Championship got underway at the Imola circuit with races for cars with sequential gearboxes and DSG. The number of entries is impressive, with 43 drivers at the start. In the sequential gearbox category, in race 1, victory for the Italian driver Marco Butti (Hyundai Elantra), who, without significant problems, withstood the attacks of the Argentine Franco Girolami on the Audi RS3 LMS, who finished second. On the third step of the podium went the Dutch Niels Langeveld aboard the new Honda Civic. Positions reversed in race 2 on Sunday; this time, Franco Girolami triumphed on the Audi RS3 LMS, which quickly climbed from fifth to the first place held until the end of the race. Second position for Marco Butti (Hyundai Elantra), author of a remarkable comeback of six positions. Third place for the Hungarian Levante Losonczy (Hyundai Elantra). Il 1° Round 2023 del Campionato Italiano Turismo TCR ha preso il via presso l'autodromo di Imola con gare per vetture a cambio sequenziale e DSG. Impressionante il numero di iscritti con ben 43 piloti al via. Nella categoria cambio sequenziale, in gara 1, vittoria per il pilota italiano Marco Butti (Hyundai Elantra) che senza grossi problemi ha resistito agli attacchi dell'argentino Franco Girolami su Audi RS3 LMS giunto secondo. Sul terzo gradino del podio è salito l’olandese Niels Langeveld a bordo della nuova Honda Civic. Posizioni invertite nella gara 2 di Domenica; questa volta ha trionfato Franco Girolami su Audi RS3 LMS che dalla quinta posizione ha velocemente raggiunto il primo posto tenuto fino alla fine della corsa. Seconda posizione per Marco Butti (Hyundai Elantra) artefice di una grande rimonta di ben sei posizioni. Terza posizione per l’ungherese Levante Losonczy (Hyundai Elantra).
