Next level wake thief - My longest tanker wave ever! Ace lightning / Condor S / Foil X / PF-3

A raw edit of my longest tanker wave so far. A mix of original audio and voice over to take you along my journey of wake thieving behind a tanker on the German river Rhein.

Some things happen when you expect them the least! I took my SUP foil gear down to the river for some flat water paddle ups and the occasional tiny tanker wave, when out of nowhere I scored a 4 km first run. Drifting back I spotted another tanker and without any expectations ended up with a second run of over 7 kilometers. I could have gone way further but by German law had to leave the water before sunset.

Please note that this video and all my surfing took place in a very familiar setting. I surf this spot twice a week, all year round, know the currents, risks involved and always have a plan b. Riding tanker waves comes along with taking responsibilities, not only for your own health but for the safety of everyone involved and the foiling sport itself. One little incident might lead to foiling being banned in certain areas or all over German and beyond ! Play it safe - ALWAYS ! Not only for your own interests, but for the sake of all of us enjoying this sport!

STARBOARD ACE LIGHTNING 7'5'' / 83 Liter
My current go to weapon when it comes to flat water paddle ups and stealing tanker waves. The Starboard Ace Lightning 7'5'' is only 15'' wide but because of the flat bottom and straight rails still pretty stable. It's super fast in paddle speed and feels amazing light once up on foil.

INDIANA CONDOR S / XS FUSE / M Stab
I really enjoy riding this foil! The deeper chord in the center produces enough lift for easy and consistent paddle ups and the tapered wing tips turn easy. Right now this is my favorite front wing for tanker waves. It has the right speed, not to fast, not to slow and is very playful and efficient in pumping.

BLACK PROJECT / FOIL X
My personal game change when it comes to flat water paddle ups and stealing tanker waves on a SUP foil board. It's day and night compared to my first SUP paddle. The Black Project Foil X is by far the most advanced paddle I have ever used and I can't thank Chris enough for his support in finding the right size and flex.

PROLIMIT / PF-3
I have tried dozens of wetsuits in my life and the PF-3 Natureprene by Prolimit is the pinnacle of wetsuit evolution. It feels like I am not wearing a wetsuit at all. Super flexible but still warm to keep me going all your round. Never thought wearing a 5/4mm could be so nice and carefree.
