I Was WRONG About The Amazon Echo Studio... Sort Of

The Amazon Echo Studio is capable of 3D sound and Dobly Atmos, there's just one thing they're not telling you...

If you're thinking of buying the Echo Studio then buy two; One is not enough. Don't get me wrong, this is THE BEST sounding Echo speaker that Amazon have produced, The Echo Studio sound coupled with its amazing price tag make this a real contender for the best smart home speaker for 2020, BUT I want you to buy with your eyes open as to the reality of its 3D and Dolby Atmos capabilities, and musically speaking I honestly think you need two of them. Don't fall for the marketing hype; one Echo studio speaker is great, but most people will not benefit from it's 3D sound, the Dolby Atmos or even the stereo effects and this review explains why.

If you're looking for an honest Amazon Echo Studio Review then this video compares it to my actual surround sound system and put's it's ability to recalibrate to a different room position to the test. I carried out my Echo studio sound test using various inputs including pairing it to the Amazon Fire TV cube for full Dolby Atmos. Your room and the positioning of the speaker will be absolutely crucial to take advantage of those effects, the question is; is it worth it?
