Inside the FLYING VILLAGE of India! | Bir Billing, Himachal Pradesh

Our beautiful Himachal Pradesh has a village that God created for flying. Really! “Parindon ki nagri” hai ye!
More than 2000 people fly here every day.
It is the highest paragliding site of not just India, but also Asia.
This is the place where the World Cup of Paragliding also happened.
About 40% of Bir’s population are registered pilots.
Take-off site is lined with trees for emergency landings.
Landing site is wide and flat without any buildings or high voltage wires
The mountains in Bir Billing are ideal for the creation of wind thermals which help gliders fly for hours and hours!

BUT STILL very few Indians know about this village!

Fun-fact - A SINGLE line of a paraglider can take up to 100 kg of weight!!
