dong xi chronicles is created by the team behind dong xi & BASTARD, a modern Chinese restaurant in Shanghai. Join the founders Chef Michael Janczewski and Jiro Hsu, together with co-founder of dong xi Dongwei Su, as we explore the most authentic and underrated local eats in China.

In this episode, we head to Chaoshan, one of our favourite food regions in China, famous for its deep culinary traditions, rich masterstocks, and fresh seafood.

📍Where is Chaoshan?
Chaoshan (潮汕）is a cultural and geographic region in the eastern Guangdong province of China. It is most famous for its unique cuisine, culture heritage, and being the origin of many Chinese descendants in Southeast Asia.
