(Edit: Filmed in summer 2024, this camping trip at the Grand Canyon’s North Rim and Kaibab National Forest captures some of the peaceful wilderness that existed before the devastating 2025 Dragon Bravo Fire. The blaze has since destroyed over 141,000 acres, burned historic structures, and rendered much of Kaibab National Forest on the North Rim closed for the 2025 season. As of this edit, the site I camped at had not yet burned.)
Join me on an epic SUV Camping adventure on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon in Kaibab National Forest BEFORE the Dragon Bravo Fire, where I set up camp right on the canyon’s edge! In this episode, I’m in the middle of a 12 day “overland” road trip, and I share the breathtaking views, cook up some delicious campfire meals, and give you a taste of the serenity of solo camping. I never planned to visit the Grand Canyon, but this experience changed everything. From stunning sunrises over the canyon to the peace and solitude of the forest, discover why making pilgrimage to camp at the Canyon is a must for any adventurer. Don't miss out on this unforgettable journey!
