Back in 2007, the WWE Universe was turned upside down when it was revealed that Hornswoggle was the illegimate son of Mr. McMahon. Everyone was shocked by the revelation, especially Mr. McMahon, but for a time it seemed that Hornswoggle was going to thrive as a member of the McMahon family.
On the road to WrestleMania 24, it was revealed by none other than JBL that Hornswoggle was NOT the son of Vince McMahon. Instead, Finlay was the father, and when JBL attacked Hornswoggle, Finlay took it upon himself to avenge the assault. At WWE WrestleMania 24, Finlay and JBL would meet in a Belfast Brawl, with the winner leaving the Show of Shows with a great deal of momentum and fanfare.
