Be careful of your ways

Proverbs 6:16-20 NIV
[16] There are six things the Lord hates, seven that are detestable to him: [17] haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, [18] a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, [19] a false witness who pours out lies and a person who stirs up conflict in the community. [20] My son, keep your father’s command and do not forsake your mother’s teaching.



Proverbs 26:24-28 NIV
[24] Enemies disguise themselves with their lips, but in their hearts they harbor deceit. [25] Though their speech is charming, do not believe them, for seven abominations fill their hearts. [26] Their malice may be concealed by deception, but their wickedness will be exposed in the assembly. [27] Whoever digs a pit will fall into it; if someone rolls a stone, it will roll back on them. [28] A lying tongue hates those it hurts, and a flattering mouth works ruin.
