Cammino Dei Borghi Silenti: Hiking into hidden Umbria and a hill to remember! - Day 3

Day three of the Cammino dei Borghi Silenti, a fantastic and little-known walk in beautiful Umbria, was a day of three parts. A misty start to the day and some easy walking, followed by the steepest section on the whole hike. Definitely a challenge!

The afternoon turned cloudy and chilly and I ended the walk in a lovely agritourismo in Cerreto, with the whole place to myself to relax in.

I also bumped into Marco Fioroni, the guy who developed the walk so keep an eye out for him! It is always good to be able to chat to others about hiking in Italy!

The hike was developed in 2019 by Marco as a way of exploring this most stunning Italian region - Umbria. The Cammino dei Borghi Silenti takes the hiker through some of the most stunning parts of southern Umbria. Through quiet villages, summiting mountains with staggering views and walking through olive groves and vineyards, this is a walk through quintessential Italy.
