In this seminar, participants will consider how the identities of our students and of target language cultures, NYS World Language Standards, and the NYS Culturally Responsive Sustaining Education (CRSE) Framework apply to our instruction as World Language Teachers. We will consider the following:
• What do we mean by identity?
• Who are the marginalized?
• How does this connect with the NYS WL Standards and NYS CRSE Framework?
• How are we considering the identities and voices in our classroom instruction that are seen and unseen?
• How does all of this apply to our instruction?
