🔸 Bodhi Vandana
Devotion to the Bodhi Tree – the sacred fig tree under which Siddhartha Gautama became the Buddha. The verses honor it as a witness and symbol of enlightenment.

🌸 Cetiya Vandanā (Homage to the Sacred Relics & Shrines)
Verse 1
बुद्धं धम्मं च संघं
सुगत तनुभवो धातुओ धातुगब्भे।
लंकाय जंबुदीपे तिदस पुरवरे नागलोके च थूपे।।

Meaning:
I venerate the Buddha, the Dhamma, and the Sangha —
The sacred relics born of the Blessed One’s body,
Enshrined in stupas across Lanka, Jambudīpa (India),
Heavenly realms, and the world of nāgas.

Verse 2
सब्बे बुध्दस्स बिम्बे सकल दसदिसे केस लोमादिधातु वंदे।
सब्बेपि बुद्धं दसबल तनुज बोधी चेतियं नमामि।।

Meaning:
I pay homage to all Buddha images
Found in every direction — East, West, and all ten directions —
And to all bodily relics, even hair and pores.
I bow to the Bodhi trees and all cetiyas (shrines)
Associated with the Buddha, the Son of Ten Powers.

Verse 3
वन्दामि चेतियं सब्बं, सब्ब ठाणेसु पतिठ्ठितं।
सारीरिक धातु महाबोधि, बुध्द रुपं सकलं सदा।।

Meaning:
I revere all sacred cetiyas established in every place —
Whether housing physical relics, the great Bodhi tree,
Or the Buddha’s images — I honor them all, always.

🌿 Bodhi Vandanā (Homage to the Bodhi Tree)
Verse 1
यस्सं मुले निसिन्नोवा सब्बारी विजय अका।
पत्तो सब्बज्जुतं सत्था वन्दे तं बोधी पादपं।।

Meaning:
Seated at whose root,
The Teacher conquered all enemies (defilements),
And attained the supreme enlightenment —
I bow to that sacred Bodhi Tree.

Verse 2
इमे हेते महाबोधी लोकनाथेन पूजिता।
अहम्पि ते नमस्वामि बोधीराजा नमत्थू ते।।

Meaning:
These great Bodhi Trees were honored
By the Protector of the World (the Buddha).
I too offer my salutation to you,
O King of Trees, may reverence be unto you.

Chorus / Repetition:
बोधीराजा नमत्थू ते...
बोधीराजा नमत्थ ते...

Meaning:
O King of Trees, Bodhi Tree — homage to you…
May reverence forever be yours…
