Learn Chinese Speaking Directly (Without PinYin and Tones)

1. Only 414 Sounds in the Chinese Language
The Chinese language has only 414 monosyllabic sounds; each is made of 1 initial and 1 final;
中(Zhong) = Zh (initial) + ong (final)
和(He) = H (initial) + e (final)
The language has only 23 initials & 24 finals sounds; they compose 414 monosyllabic sounds.
23 initials x 24 finals compose 414 sounds
So the Chinese sound system (PinYin) is quite simple, just has a few elements.

2. How to teach Chinese speaking? Direct or Indirect?
Inside China, Direct
Native Chinese never use PinYin to learn Chinese Speaking. All of them speak directly, read directly.
Outside China, Indirect
Since 1958, using PinYin to teach Chinese speaking for foreigners, as a teaching method, has been used worldwide, it is an indirect way. The indirect way is inefficient, the results are disappointing.

3. Learn Chinese speaking directly
The language pronouncing system is at the behind of every word sound. When you speak any word 一, 二, 三, you are levering the whole sound system;
12 words 一二三四五天，你我他她们好 include 12 initials and 12 finals, it is half of the total basic sounds (23 initials and 24 finals);
Normally foreign students can learn and speak 12 words in 2 hours;
60 words include 60 initials & 60 finals, it is 2.5 times of total basic sounds;
Normally foreign students can learn and speak 60 words in 10 hours. After that, further word speaking becomes easier and easier.
Learn Chinese speaking directly is simple & effective; it has been used by all Chinese in thousands of years, it is also suitable for foreign students.

4. Keynotes for Chinese speaking
1). Chinese word sounds never change.
Each word sound likes a piano key sound, always the same, never changes;
2). Each sound is pronounced with the same pattern.
Voice dash out at the beginning, and then gradually die off; same for PinYin 4 tones;
3). Practice slowly speaking at beginning, then quick.
Put sound accuracy at the first position.
4). Chinese has no question tone.
Foreign students should avoid using the question tone to speak Chinese.

5. How to remember words sounds? By reciting short sentences
1). Build a direct reflection between sound and word.
Chinese word sound & writing have no relation; to read a word, the only way is to build a direct reflection between them.
2). Sound only exists in speaking and muscle memory.
So we can only learn speaking by speaking.
3). Word sound is very difficult to remember separately.
We need to remember word sounds in sentences, read and recite sentences fluently, in that way to set up a Chinese speaking base.
4). In a word, the only way to remember words sounds is by reading and reciting short sentences, such as 一二三四五天，你我他她们好; 时间几分钟呢，地点在哪里呀, etc.
