This works very similar to an Evry mod 1.9 TDI - even without the turbo, the difference is noticeable.
1999 Golf Mk4 with a 440ohm resistor on the injection pump plug pins 2-3
Previously tried 1.1kohm and 900ohm with no change, 700ohm got flashing coil light with a little change to acceleration. At 440ohm the idle is just about getting rough with very little smoke.
Video quality is poor, but 0-60 time is roughly 13seconds, down from standard 18seconds.
Edit: after about a week of having the mod, the rough idle rattled the engine enough to damage the alternator.
