Angiosperma: planta que possui flores e produz sementes protegidas por uma estrutura denominada fruto. São o maior e mais moderno grupo de plantas englobando cerca de 250 mil espécies. Elas possuem raiz, caule, folha, flores, semente e fruto.
Gimnosperma: plantas que possuem sementes, mas que se diferenciam das outras por não possuir o fruto que envolve a semente.
